According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nicole Perlman, who co-wrote Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy, and Meg LeFauve, who co-wrote Pixar’s upcoming Inside Out, are in negotiations write Captain Marvel.
The first Marvel film to feature a female lead is scheduled to be released July 6, 2016.
Marvel had no comment on this story, but at the recent Avengers: Age of Ultron junket Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige said that they hoped to announce the writers for the film shortly.
