As
previously announced, a new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiered during ESPN’s Monday Night Football game between the New York Giants and the Philidelphia Eagles.
Demonstrating just how big the brand is, Monday night’s trailer was teased with various 10-15 second clips advertising the MNF halftime debut. This trailer marks the third official look at the film following a teaser trailer last year and another — featuring the now infamous line “Chewie, we’re home” — that premiered at Star Wars Celebration: Anaheim in July.
The highly anticipated seventh Star Wars film will hit theatres December 18th. Many cinemas started selling tickets today to coincide with the trailer release.
