Disney Channel Orders Pilot From Lizzie McGuire Creator

Fans of the Disney Channel classic Lizzie McGuire will be excited to know that the channel has just greenlit a new program from creator Terri Minsky. According the Hollywood Reporter, the yet-to-be-titled show will star Peyton Elizabeth Lee of Scandal fame as Andi Marcus. While Andi is on the cusp of becoming 13, her older sister Bex is a rebellious 20-something who is forced to move back home to sort out her life following a series of mistakes. This leaves Andi questioning everything she knows.

The pilot is set to kick off production next year. This marks Minsky's first return to Disney Channel since Lizzie McGuire ended in 2003.
