Disney Removing Two Elephants from Troubled Center
The last two elephants left at a center that Disney help to found will be leaving on Friday according to the Orlando Sentinel. Both of the animals were moved to the National Elephant Center in Fellsmere from Disney's Animal Kingdom in 2013 along with two others. Since then, three of the five elephants have died including two from Disney and one from the Nashville Zoo. In spite of the animals leaving the center, Disney said it is not closing.
Tsavo and Thandi — the two remaining elephants at the center — are expected to return to Animal Kingdom.
