Emma Stone is in talks to star in Cruella De Vil which is described as an origin story of the iconic Disney villain. The script is being written by Kelly Marcel who wrote Saving Mr. Banks.
No director is attached to the project, but production is expected to begin by the end of the year.
As Disney fans know, Cruella debuted in the 1961 animated classic 101 Dalmatians. Glenn Close portrayed her in the 1996 live-action adaptation and its sequel. She has also appeared on ABC’s Once Upon a Time and Disney’s Descendants.
