Fulton’s Crab House To Close For Major Refurbishment, Layoff Staff

Fulton’s Crab House at Disney Springs is closing for a major refurbishment in April and will be laying off 214 employees between April 4-18 according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filed with the state. According to availability on DisneyWorld.com, it appears the restaurant will be closed on April 4.

There is no word on what will be done during the refurbishment, but it is expected to last approximately six months.

Fulton’s Crab House is operated by Levy Restaurants who also run Disney Spring’s Portabello and the Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe.

The former Empress Lilly, opened as Fulton’s Crab House in 1996 under a twenty year deal. Now that the original agreement has expired, it is expected major changes are in the works.
