After taking a five-year hiatus due to major construction in park, the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival (formerly known as Disney’s Calfornia Food & Wine Festival and Disney’s California Food & Wine Weekends before that) will be returning on weekends this April. The announcement was made via the Disney Parks Blog which said:
This month-long festival, taking place during weekends in April, will celebrate some of the best of delicious California cuisine. A distinguishing feature will be new Festival Marketplaces, where guests can sip and savor delicious flavors from throughout the state of California. The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will also include culinary demonstrations, appearances by celebrity chefs and informative seminars.

Last hosted in 2010, the festival was a favorite spring staple of Disney’s California Adventure (as it was then known) before it was announced that festivals would not occur in 2011 or 2012 but no subsequent announcements were made regarding the absent 2013, 2014, or 2015 events. The return of the newly-dubbed Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will surely excite fans who thought that their beloved festival was gone forever.
