The Shanghai Disney Resort recently named three honorary ambassadors who will assist with promotional activities leading up the park’s grand opening on June 16. According to CRI English, Sun Li, Lang Lang and Yao Ming were all honored by the resort’s general manager Philippe Gas in a ceremony where each ambassador received a miniature version of the “Storytellers” statue that resides in Disney California Adventure.
During the presentation, Gas also addressed the issues the resort’s website had upon launch, saying, “You might have heard or maybe even experienced the fact that the volume of visitors overwhelmed our system for a short period of time. All the ticketing systems are now back up and running. And we’re glad to welcome our guests to the grand opening of the Shanghai Disney Resort.”
The Shanghai Disney Resort is set to open June 16th, 2016 in Pudong.
