Inspired by the looks of the Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway, the team at Disney Style transformed one woman into high-fashion versions of Nala, Rafiki, Zazu and Scar – in under one minute.
The high-production hair, makeup and wardrobe evolution sought to capture the spirit of the animals from the beloved animated film mixed with the incredible costumery of the musical, which is traveling across North America in a multi-city summer tour.
Although the time-lapse video is beautifully condensed to a single minute, the shoot takes up every last second of a 12-hour production day. The model in this video was in the chair from about 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
