“Michael Clayton” Director Said to be Taking on More “Rogue One” Responsibilities

Rumors that Disney’s Rogue One is undergoing major changes continue as The Hollywood Reporter says that Tony Gilroy — who has directed films like Michael Clayton and provided an uncredited rewrite of the Rogue One script — has taken on a bigger role as the film wraps five weeks of reshoots. However, director Gareth Edwards is still involved with the project as its December 16th release date draws closer.

One source told THR, “There are not two separate editing rooms; they are all in there with their ideas. Tony’s a strong force, but they’re all working together.” Disney has declined to comment on Gilroy’s involvement.
