Broadway fans were treated to a special surprise during the Friday, September 9th performance of Aladdin as late night host James Corden made a special cameo. His appearance came during “Friend Like Me” which was a show-stopper — literally. The appluase for Corden was so strong and sustained that the show had to pause afterward.

Corden, who also stars on Britain’s Sky 1 network reality show A League of Their Own, filmed a segment for that show in which he and his three co-stars (Freddie Flintoff, Jack Whitehall and Jamie Redknapp) competed for the chance to appear in a performance of Aladdin at Broadway’s New Amsterdam Theatre.
If you’re hoping to catch the host on your next visit to the Great White Way, sadly you are out of wishes — this was a one night only event.
