Disneyland Paris Revealed as Potential Target in Foiled Terror Plot

According to reports by Deadline and others, a foiled terror plot planned to attack French landmarks including the Champs-Elysées and Disneyland Paris. Those suspected to have been involved with the planning of the attack, which was allegedly set for December 1st, have been detained. It is believed that those arrested also have ties to the Isis, which carried out a series of attacks in Paris last November.

A spokesperson for Disneyland Paris said, “We work closely with state and local authorities, and constantly review the security measures we have in place.” Since the attacks last year, the resort has experienced a couple of security-related incidents. In January a man was arrested while trying to carry guns into the New York Hotel at the resort in his suitcase. Then in August a train station near the resort was temporarily cordoned off due to a suspicious package. Neither event was believed to be related to terror.
