Mickey Mouse Club Returns to Vinyl with Disney Music Emporium Release

Hey There! Hi There! Ho There! The Mickey Mouse Club is returning to vinyl. The Disney Music Emporium is releasing a limited edition 10” picture disc features two original tracks from the “Mickey Mouse Club.”  Only 3,500 copies of this vinyl were pressed in celebration of Walt Disney Record’s 60th anniversary.

When the “Mickey Mouse Club” debuted on October 5th, 1955, not only did Mouse ears begin a fashion trend still seen today, it introduced one of the most iconic marches of all time – the “Mickey Mouse March.”  Composed by lead Mouseketeer (and Disney Legend) Jimmie Dodd, and arranged by fellow Disney Legend Buddy Baker, it is presented in its original monophonic glory.

The B-side, “Mickey Mouse Club Alma Mater” was also composed by Jimmie Dodd, and has become part of the cultural zeitgeist. Whenever it is heard, the audience can’t help but join in…“Now it’s time to say good-bye to all our company, M-I-C see you real soon, K-E-Y why? Because we like you, M-O-U-S-E.”

As Disney fans know, the Disney Music Emporium (DME) is the destination for collectible Disney music products and limited editions. The Mickey Mouse Club 10” Picture Disc will be available January 31st exclusively at DME.  For more information on Disney Music Emporium, please visit, http://www.disneymusicemporium.com.
