It has been announced that La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil will be closing at Disney Springs on December 31, 2017. Disney would not comment on what will replace it but the Disney Parks Blog did say, ” Given Disney’s strong relationship with Cirque du Soleil over the years, we may soon have news to share about exciting new entertainment coming to Disney Springs”

“We are incredibly proud of the success that La Nouba has had for nearly two decades,” said Jerry Nadal, Senior Vice President of the Resident Shows Division for Cirque du Soleil. “We want to thank Walt Disney World Resort for a wonderful relationship over the years. We look forward to announcing what’s next for Cirque du Soleil.”

La Nouba has been seen by over 10 million guests and has had over 8,500 since its 1998 debut. For current ticket info guests can click here or call 407-939-7600.

La Nouba, which premiered on Dec. 23, 1998, is the first Cirque du Soleil show to take permanent residence in a city outside of Las Vegas.  It has entertained, engaged and inspired audiences and throughout the years, the show continued to evolve. Most recently La Nouba introduced two new acts: B-Boy, commonly referred to as breakdancing, and Aerial Bamboo, a technique mastered by only a handful of performers worldwide. The acts joined following the addition of new clowns and a juggling rolla bolla act.

While walking through Disney Springs we noticed that La Nouba is offering open rehearsals from 3:30-4pm on Tuesdays and Fridays. We do not know if there is any connection.
