Is the end in sight for Olivia Pope and her Gladiators? According to TV Line, Scandal‘s upcoming seventh season will the ABC hit drama’s last. The site reports that it was show creator Shonda Rhimes’ decision to bring a close to the series and ABC agreed. A formal announcement is expected at ABC’s upfronts presentation next Tuesday.
As TV Line notes, Rhimes had previously dropped hints about ending Scandal, telling NPR “I feel like there is a finite amount of Scandal to be told. So I know what the end of Scandal will be, and I feel really good about that. And I can see where the end point is. And I don’t think I’m going to change that.”
