Disneyland fans have surely been looking forward to a number of classic attractions that have been down for over a year while the resort made changes ahead of the Star Wars-themed land expansion. Today the Disney Parks Blog is laying out exactly when those favorites will return. Somewhat surprisingly, however, they won’t all open at the same time.
Up first, Tom Sawyer’s Island and Pirate’s Lair will reopen to guests starting tomorrow, June 16th. The rest of the Rivers of America attractions — the Sailing Ship Columbia, the Mark Twain River Boat, and the Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes — will return on July 29th.
Also reopening that day will be the legendary Disneyland Railroad, which will take a slightly altered path now that the galaxy far, far away is under construction. A highlight of this new route will surely be the picturesque waterfront journey along the Rivers of America. Additionally, the Grand Canyon and Primeval World dioramas have been, “carefully restored to their original splendor, with a bit of new magic added to both!”
Finally, Fantasmic! is ready to come back with a bang, debuting on July 17th — the park’s 62nd birthday. As previously reported, this updated show will include new scenes featuring Aladdin, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tangled, and more.
So who’s visiting Disneyland this summer?
