20th Century Fox Makes More Release Date Changes, Pushes “Dark Phoenix” to 2019

Just a few weeks after making some changes to their upcoming movie slate, 20th Century Fox has announced some more moved. Most notably, the studio’s X-Men spin-off film Dark Phoenix has been pushed to February 14th, 2019 from its November 2nd, 2018 date. Speakin2g of the X-Men, Fox has once again delayed The New Mutants. At one time, the superhero horror film was set to be released by now before being pushed to February 2019. Now the film is set to bow on August 2nd, 2019 according to Deadline.

Taking Dark Phoenix’s place in November will be the Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody. In another big move, The Force — which was set to be released March 1st, 2019 — is now dateless. Joe Cornish’s The Kid Who Would Be King will now take the March 1st date (it was slated for February 14th, which is now Dark Phoenix’s slot). Elsewhere, faith-based film Breakthrough starring Chrissy Metz and Topher Grace will be released April 12, 2019.
