New Character Dining Experiences Coming to Disneyland Resort Hotels This Summer

Disneyland has announced that, along with some delicious new menu items, two exciting character dining experiences will be coming to the resort hotels this summer. Guests will have the opportunity to meet Mickey Mouse and his friends at the Storytellers Cafe at the Grand Californian for Mickey’s Tales of Adventure. Over at Disney’s PCH Grill at the Paradise Pier Hotel, guests can join Donald Duck for Donald’s Seaside Breakfast. Official reservation dates have not been set, but should be available soon. Additionally, Disney’s website shows reservations for the current character dining offerings (Chip n’ Dale’s Critter Breakfast at Storytellers Cafe and Mickey’s Surf’s Up! Breakfast at Paradise Pier Hotel) available through June 10th.

Beyond those character dining shakeups, guests will also be able to enjoy several new menu items throughout the resort hotel. Storytellers Café at the Grand Californian has delicious additions to their lunch, dinner and dessert menus including:

Avocado Toast—Crushed avocado, lemon-olive oil, parsley, celery leaves, quail eggs, and Espellete pepper on slice of grilled sourdough

Kale Salad—Almonds, currants, Grana Padano, bacon-bread crumbs, and garlic vinaigrette

‘Nduja Sausage Pizza— ‘Nduja sausage, mushrooms, artichokes, and potatoes.

Margherita Pizza—Fresh mozzarella and basil, Grana Padano, fire-roasted tomatoes, and aged provolone cheese.

Specific to the Lunch menu:

Short Rib Grilled Cheese—Grilled sourdough bread with cheddar cheese and caramelized onions.

Specific to the Dinner menu:

Chicken Paillard— Lightly-breaded chicken breast with roasted potatoes and heirloom carrots, topped with a lemon-caper sauce.

Braised Boneless Short Rib—Paired with mashed potatoes, creamy horseradish, and brussels sprouts.

Dessert menu:

Vanilla Crème Brûlée—Crème Brûlée with orange-vanilla biscotti and marinated raspberries.

Surfside Lounge and the Sand Bar at Paradise Pier Hotel will be offering:

Build-Your-Own Poke Bowl—Create the perfect meal with choice of base, protein and sauce topped with avocado, cucumber, and red and green onions, and garnished with seaweed wakame, tobiko caviar, fried onions, pickled ginger, bonito flakes, and sesame seeds.

Bases: White rice, brown rice, or romaine leaves
Proteins: Tuna, salmon, or tofu all marinated in a savory ponzu sauce.
Sauce toppings: Spicy mayo, poke sauce, or wasabi

Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar, Tangaroa Terrace, and the Poolside Bar at the Disneyland Resort will offer:

Island-Style Hot Dog—Ground pork and pineapple sausage in a pretzel bun, topped with whole-grain mustard, onion sauce, pickled carrots, daikon, and Fresno chiles.

Chicken Teriyaki Bowl—Diced chicken breast on a bed of rice and vegetables, topped with teriyaki sauce, togarashi aïoli, wonton chips, and sesame seeds.

Rongo Salad—sShredded green papaya, fresh lettuce, marinated tofu, cucumber, gooseberries, rice noodles, and carrots tossed in sesame-ginger vinaigrette.

Pu Pu Platter—A little bit of everything! Sweet-and-Spicy Asian Wings, Fried Spring Rolls, Panko-Crusted Chinese Long Beans, Pork Gyoza, and Togarashi Aïoli.
