Disney Reveals Official Mickey Mouse 90th Birthday Portrait

During a panel celebrating Mickey’s upcoming 90th birthday at the 2018 San Diego Comic-Con, the Mouse’s official portrait for the event was unveiled (along with a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3).

  • The portrait is titled “Spreading Happiness Around the World.”
  • D23 and the Walt Disney Archives along with Walt Disney Animation Studios commissioned animator Mark Henn to create the special work of art.
  • If you didn’t know, Henn’s resume with Disney extends all the way back to 1980. He’s worked on such films as The Little MermaidThe Lion King, Lilo & StitchMoana, and many more.
  • Henn’s artwork will also be featured as the Fall 2018 cover of Disney Twenty-Three magazine.
  • Disney Twenty-Three is a quarterly publication included with the Gold Membership to D23 – The Official Disney Fan Club.
