Adventures by Disney sent out a survey to previous participants regarding possible new experiences.

  • Several proposed trips include Disneynature components
  • A-one day Marvel experience is being considered for New York City
  • A family camp in upstate New York would be Disney’s first foray into the summer camp business
  • A winter resort in Colorado would, in a way, finally bring forth Walt Disney’s vision for Mineral King
  • It is important to note, that none of the experiences may ever see the light of day.

Here are the listed experiences from the survey:

  • Arctic Expedition Cruise: Journey to the land that inspired Frozen as you sail from Norway to the last islands before the North Pole. Explore on Zodiac boats, spot polar bears and meet native people as you venture into untouched landscapes.
  • Antarctica Expedition Cruise: Venture out daily on a Zodiac cruise, kayak, or a guided snowshoe hike across the frozen sea ice. Join filmmakers from Disneynature’s Penguins film to capture photos and understand these lovable birds and this breathtaking region.

From there, indulge in a private lunch fit for a Super Hero in Greenwich Village before boarding a one-of-a-kind NYC show aboard The RIDE bus experience – first stop, the address that inspired Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum. As you make your way to a Marvel-themed grand finale celebration, produced exclusively for AbD in Central Park, you will witness the city come alive through technology overlays aboard the bus and real life actors on the street who will recreate scenes from Marvel’s 80 year history. On this ride, visit the nostalgic and inspirational sites of Marvel’s past and present while discovering the legend behind the lore that has made this comic book company a giant and leader amongst its peer.
  • Student Travel: On this immersive Southern California trip, your high school student will have a chance to build animatronics with Imagineers. They will learn what it takes to make a TV show from a Director on the Disney Studio Lot, and have lunch with the TV show cast to learn about their creative process. Your student will get an exclusive tour of animation studios and discuss the art of storytelling with the animators. To cap it all off, they will get to spend a day with VIP access to Disneyland with their Adventure Guides and new friends. They will enjoy front-of-the-line access to the rides, a behind-the-scenes tour of Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission BREAKOUT by the masterminds behind the ride, and a historical visit of Walt’s Apartment along iconic Main Street. It will be an exhilarating and eye-opening experience that will get your future magic-maker excited to start their own journey after high school and beyond.
  • Disney Conservation Fund Volunteer Add-On: Since 1995, the Disney Conservation Fund has inspired millions of people to take action protect the planet and directed more than $70 million to reverse the decline of wildlife in more than half the countries of the world. Adventures by Disney travels to many of the places where the Disney Conservation Fund and its partners have ongoing conservation efforts, making it possible to dedicate a few days towards helping these organizations advance their research and efforts as a pre- or post-stay add-on to a regular Adventures by Disney vacation. Activities could include: assisting conservation professionals in tracking and studying African Elephants, helping to release baby sea turtles from a hatchery into the ocean in Costa Rica or assisting with wildlife monitoring in a UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve outside of Cusco, Peru.
