Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort to Close Ahead of Hurricane Florence

With Hurricane Florence expected to make landfall in the Carolinas later this week, Disney has announced that its Hilton Head Island Resort will temporarily close in anticipation of the storm.

UPDATE (9/15/18): As Hurricane Florence moves through the Carolinas, Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort now says it will be closed until at least Tuesday, September 18th.

Previously:

  • The resort will close on Tuesday, September 11th and is currently scheduled to remain closed through Monday, September 17th.
  • A notice posted to the resort website encourages guests to check back for updates.
  • Additionally, guests with questions about upcoming reservations can call (800) 800-9800.
  • Disney Vacation Club’s Hurricane Policy states that, in the event that a hurricane warning is issued by the National Hurricane Center within 7 days before the scheduled arrival date, guests may cancel or reschedule their reservation prior to Check-In without any cancellation or modification penalty.
