Kathy Mangum Retiring from Imagineering at End of 2018

Yesterday, Kathy Mangum announced her plans to retire from Walt Disney Imagineering at the end of 2018. Mangum made the announcement while moderating the “Inspiring Leaders of Disney Parks” panel at IAPPA. Mangum has inspired many leaders at the Disney Parks throughout her career. She started her journey by working at Disneyland while a student at California State University, Fullerton and now she is the Atlantic regional executive for Walt Disney Imagineering having oversight of Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, and Disneyland Paris.

Amongst the projects that she led were Cars Land at Disney California Adventure, the Seas with Nemo and Friends, Toy Story Land, the reimagining of the auction scene in Pirates of the Caribbean, and the upcoming Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy.
