Tails Removed from Slinky Dog Dash Ride Vehicles

Today, guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios may have noticed a small change to Toy Story Land’s headlining attractions as the tails were removed from the Slinky Dog Dash ride vehicles.

  • The springy tails that were affixed to the rear of the Slinky Dog Dash trains have been removed.
  • Above you can see how the vehicles looked today compared to the press photo below:

  • When asked about the removal, a Disney spokesperson told us, “We proactively removed the tail feature of the Slinky Dog trains while we make some adjustments to this feature. We hope to have the tail wagging again shortly.”
  • Toy Story Land, including the popular Slinky Dog Dash coaster, debuted at Disney’s Hollywood Studio this past summer.
  • While other iterations of Toy Story Land include Slinky Dog attractions, this is the only version that’s a coaster.
  • The attraction remains popular and has an average wait of 97.8 minutes over the last 30 days, ranking it as the third longest average wait at Walt Disney World
  • Other attractions in the land include Alien Swirling Saucers and Toy Story Mania, which features a new entrance.
