True love conquers all, even rodents of unusual size! The Princess Bride is reportedly being adapted as a musical for the stage. BroadwayWorld wirtes that a composer and writers have been confirmed to join the creative team.

What’s happening:

  • BroadwayWorld has reported that The Princess Bride is getting the musical theatre treatment.
  • A Disney Theatrical spokesperson has confirmed at least three members have joined the creative team.
    • David Yazbek (Tootsie, The Band's Visit) will write the score
    • Bob Martin (The Prom) and Rick Elice (The Cher Show) will co-write the book for the new musical.
  • At this time no other details or timeline have been announced.
