Virgin Trains is reportedly hoping to build in a stop at Walt Disney World for their train that will travel from South Florida to Central Florida, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
- The train is slated to run from South Florida to an Orlando station near the Orlando International Airport.
- Another stop is being planned for the Sun Rail’s Meadow Wood station, connecting the two trains.
- The two newly proposed stops are planned to open at the same time as the Orlando airport station, though nothing is set just yet.
- Virgin has recently been in talks with landowners in the Walt Disney World area in their attempts to build a station near the most magical place on Earth.
- Patrick Goddard, president of Virgin Trains, said they signed a letter of intent with Disney last year.
- Virgin officials say their planning to start on 30 to 36 months of construction “imminently.”
