In the Disney fan community, rumors abound. However, today the Disney Parks Blog took the unusual step of refuting one particular rumor, stating that Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room at Walt Disney World would not be departing “any time soon.”

What’s happening:

  • In a blog post titled “A Little Birdie Told Us,” the Disney Parks Blog said that “there are no plans for our feathered friends to fly the coop any time soon.”
  • The post was surely in reference to a report by Walt Disney World New Today (WDWNT) earlier in the day that said Disney was planning to replace the attraction with a show themed to Moana, citing inside sources.
  • As mentioned, it’s rare for the Parks Blog to address fansite reports — something they acknowledge, writing “Although we won’t address every rumor, we want to set the record straight.”
  • Disney’s rebuttal comes as other rumors have fans in fear of losing some of their favorite attractions.
  • WDWNT also reports that Disney is considering replacing the Country Bear Jamboree with a Toy Story marionette show.
  • The site started a petition to protest such a closure that can be found at SavetheJamboree.com.
