Walt Disney World is opening a new extension behind Magic Kingdom on Thursday, July 11. This roadway extension will help with the flow of traffic around the resort for both Cast Members and Florida residents.
What’s happening:
- A new four-lane roadway extension of Floridian Place will open on the morning of Thursday, July 11.
- Located to the Northwest of Magic Kingdom, this extension connects at Reams Road and Floridian Way, near the Reedy Creek fire station.
- The new route will help with traffic flow and provide quicker access behind and around Magic Kingdom Park for Cast Members and local residents.
- At night, during the fireworks, several roads are closed to drivers for safety reasons. This extension will provide an alternate route that remains open during Magic Kingdom’s nightly spectacular.
