Walt Disney World has made some changes to their policy on the rental of strollers, wheelchairs and ECVs for resort hotel guests.
- While the Disney Featured Provider program for stroller and mobility device rentals previously featured multiple Featured Providers, ScooterBug, a private mobility rental company in the Central Florida area, is now the only Featured Provider for Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
- This means guests will not need to be present when their equipment is delivered to the resort hotel, as long as they rent through ScooterBug.
- For all other rentals, guests will need to be present when the equipment is delivered.
- The Walt Disney World website provides the following explanation for the new change:
- We recently modified the Disney Featured Provider program to enhance and simplify the vacation planning process. The program previously included several Featured Providers offering rental options to Guests. Effective October 1, ScooterBug, who is the current provider of rental strollers and mobility devices in our theme parks and Disney Springs, will also become the Disney Featured Provider for our Resort Guests.
- Guests who have already reserved a mobility device through another provider will still be able to pick up their equipment from resort hotel cast members, assuming their rental was made on or before September 20, 2019.

- Disney Resort hotel Cast will continue to manage equipment deliveries and returns for reservations made on or before September 30, 2019 with the following vendors: Apple Scooter, Best Price Scooters and Strollers, Buena Vista Scooter Rentals, Kingdom Strollers, Magic Strollers and Orlando Stroller Rentals. Please contact the vendor directly with any additional questions about your current or future reservations.
- Guests are also still able to use their personally owned mobility devices as well.
