Disney Parks Shares Insight into Present and Future Marvel Experiences

This afternoon at New York Comic Con, Disney Parks held their first ever panel at the fan event, Disney Parks: Creating Super Hero Experiences Around The World

Scot Drake and Caroline May from Walt Disney Imagineering, Dan Fields from Disney Parks Live Entertainment, Brian Crosby from Marvel Themed Entertainment, and Dave Bushore from Marvel Studios gathered to discuss current and future superhero collaborations at Disney Parks around the world. Some of the projects that were mentioned were the upcoming Avengers Campus projects at the Disneyland Resort and Disneyland Paris and Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel coming to France.

Beyond just talking about the projects, the panel gave the talent assembled onstage to tell the stories behind the experiences and discuss the hard work that went into bringing them to life. As you can see in the video below, the entire panel was excited and passionate about bringing Marvel to the Disney parks. We even got a little bit more detail about the Avengers Campuses that will begin “Phase One” next year.

All guests at the panel were given posters of one of the original pieces of art that will be on display at Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel. This particular piece of Spider-Man is by Liam Brazier who is one of the many artists that will be on display as the hotel celebrates the artists of Marvel Entertainment, Marvel Studios, and Walt Disney Imagineering.

The panel has just cemented the excitement as Disneyland Paris, Disney California Adventure, and Hong Kong Disneyland have just scratched the surface of what Marvel storytelling can be told at Disney Parks.
