Tokyo Disney Resort Changes Park Announcements to Be Gender-Neutral

Tokyo Disney Resort has stopped their “ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls” English announcements, moving toward gender-neutral with “hello, everyone.”

What’s Happening:

  • The Japan Times has reported that Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea have stopped using the English announcement of “ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.”
  • The resort has gone to a gender-neutral announcement in English of “hello, everyone” to be more inclusive.
  • Specific park attraction announcements were also updated with the goal to have them changed for all rides moving forward.
  • The parks had changed the announcement on March 18, but it was officially announced in a statement on Friday, March 26, by the Oriental Land Co.
