Creative Portfolio Executive at Walt Disney Imagineering, Zach Riddley posted a photo this morning stating that the final drapery has been installed on Cinderella Castle.
What’s Happening:
- Cinderella Castle is getting all decked out for the 50th celebration for the resort starting on October 1.
- Cinderella Castle will receive shimmering jewels and ribbons in royal blues and EARidescent golds will wrap its turrets and towers in all directions.
- With the drapery finished, the next few weeks will see the roofs get swirls of golden ribbons as work continues to transform the castle with EARidescent décor.
- EARidescent décor will also appear on the other park icons which will all transform at night to “Beacons of Magic.”

“Last night, our @WaltDisneyImagineering and @WaltDisneyWorld teams installed the final dramatic draperies of the 50th anniversary decor on Cinderella Castle. Over the coming weeks, the team will begin to focus on crowning the castle roofs with majestic swirls of golden ribbons as we continue this royal treatment for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” starting Oct. 1, 2021.”
