Adventures by Disney has updated information about the Vacation Protection Plan with the changes coming to the “Cancel For Any Reason” feature. It will now be sold as an add-on starting April 28, 2021, but will be given as a cash refund instead of credit.
What’s Happening:
- Adventures by Disney stated that beginning Monday, April 12, 2021, Guests that are interested in purchasing the current protection plan with the included “Cancel For Any Reason” coverage will need to add it to their reservation and have it paid in full by April 27, 2021.
- The current “Cancel For Any Reason” offers Guests 75% of the pre-paid non-refundable cancellation fees if they need to cancel for reasons not covered under the terms of the protection plan. The new policy starting April 28 will be giving Guests a 75% cash refund instead, however, it must be added on, instead of being part of the protection plan.
Current Information on the “Cancel For Any Reason” Travel Credit:
- Adventures by Disney has enhanced the Vacation Protection Plan with the addition of our Cancel For Any Reason Travel Credit Feature. Available at any time up until departure, if you need to cancel for a reason not covered under the terms of the Vacation Protection Plan, Adventures by Disney will provide a travel credit equal to 75% of the pre-paid non-refundable cancellation fees so that you may travel at a later date. Please note that our Cancel For Any Reason Travel Credit Feature as well our basic Travel Insurance is not available for the following products:
- Antarctica & Patagonia Expedition Cruise
- Galapagos Islands Expedition Cruise
- Buenos Aires Escape
“Cancel For Any Reason” becomes an additional add-on starting April 28, 2021:
- Starting April 28, Guests will have to purchase the “Cancel For Any Reason” feature as a separate add-on to the Vacation Protection Plan for an additional cost.
- The add-on for “Cancel For Any Reason” must be purchased within 14-days of booking an Adventures by Disney trip.
- The updated “Cancel For Any Reason” will provide 75% of the pre-paid non-refundable cancellation fees as a monetary refund instead of credit.
- AdventuresbyDisney.com is still being updated to have information on the new plan available.
