Disney Parks around the world are helping fans celebrate Earth Day this year with special content available on the My Disney Experience and Play Disney Parks app!

What’s Happening:

  • Disney is continuing their celebration of Earth Month and are sharing more about the environmental initiatives and conservation efforts underway to protect our planet and how park fans can have some fun in their own backyard, too!

  • On Earth Day, April 22, the My Disney Experience app will feature different projects from Disney destinations around the world and how fans can participate through activities at home that can help make a difference. From recycling plastic bottles in Florida to creating pollinator gardens in Paris, new practices that help the environment will be available for guests around the world to join wherever they may be!
  • How well do you know the sounds of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park? In a special new series of mini games, listen closely and test your ears to see if you can identify the species whose sounds can be heard at the park every day.
  • In a special episode of Disney Parks Wild Sights, meet the Nigerian dwarf goats of Kilimanjaro Safaris! As some of the savannah’s newest residents, these goats have a unique home on the savanna and cast members can’t wait to tell guests more about how their habitat came to be. Hear from the Disney teams who helped create it and see how everyone can take steps to protect animals’ habitats in our own communities and around the planet we all call home.
  • You can take the celebration digital, with some exclusive downloadable wallpapers in the My Disney Experience app featuring the Nigerian dwarf goats, Sumatran tigers and more! Plus, virtual backgrounds for online video chats will also be available.
  • Stay tuned to the Play Disney Parks app for a special edition of trivia, all about Earth Day! Fans can test their knowledge from wherever they may be when a new series of questions launches on Friday, April 23.
