James Griffiths to Direct, Executive Produce ABC’s Fairytale drama “Epic”

James Griffiths has been tapped to direct and executive produce ABC’s upcoming fairytale drama series Epic, according to Deadline.

  • Griffiths just wrapped directing and executive producing the pilot for the new Disney+ series The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers.
  • Some of the other pilots Griffiths has directed and produced include A Million Little Things, ABC’s hit series Black-ish as well as the Freeform spin-off Grown-ish and ABC’s Stumptown.
  • Nine of the 11 pilots Griffiths has directed and produced have been picked up to series.
  • Griffiths recently renewed his overall deal with ABC Signature.

  • Brigitte Hales has been a writer and executive story editor for ABC’s Once Upon a Time. She is currently writing for Disney+’s Disenchanted, the sequel to the Disney film Enchanted.
  • Epic is also being worked on by Once Upon a Time creators and executive producers Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz.
  • Brittany O’Grady and Eleanor Fanyinka have been tapped to star in the coming series.
  • The show is being produced by ABC Signature.
