Marvel.com and Disney Parks Blog are giving fans an inside look at Avengers Campus, opening June 4 at Disney California Adventure.
What’s Happening:
- Both Marvel.com and Disney Parks Blog released some photos and details giving fans a sneak peek into Avengers Campus before the grand opening on June 4, 2021.
- The first bit of information shared is that “Campus” actually stands for Centralized Assembly Mobilized to Prepare, Unite, and Safeguard.
The main entrance to the land is located next to the Worldwide Engineering Brigade (WEB). The story goes back to the 1940s when Tony Stark’s father built a Stark Motors factory in California. Years later, Tony transformed the previous factory into WEB, where bright innovators like Peter Parker have been brought to invent new technologies and equip people to become heroes.
Next to WEB is Pym Test Kitchen, where Guests can come get food including items that had “Pym Particles” used by Ant-Man and The Wasp to grow and shrink. They didn’t only use it for food though, as you’ll see from the beverage and condiment locations.
If you’re looking for something sweet, the Collector (Taneleer Tivan) created a food cart where Guests can find Sweet Spiral Ration Churros which will feature unique and unexpected flavors.
You may have also started to notice some ooze coming from the ground by the Collector’s fortress. The ground warped when the fortress was placed here, causing a cosmic disruption of ooze to form (and maybe some hidden Mickeys if you look closely).
The fortress which holds the attraction Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, is also considered the back entrance of the land.
The Ancient Sanctum holds the Orb of Cagliostro, which may come to life at night when it flows with magical energy. You’ll be learning mysterious secrets from Doctor Strange and discover ancient artifacts in the location.
Avengers Headquarters is where you may find the Avenges springing into action. On the rooftop, you’ll be able to spot the Quinjet.
