Tokyo Disney Resort Operation Changes Made Due to the Extended State of Emergency

Tokyo Disney Resort sent out operating changes due to the state of emergency extension impacting prefectures near the resort, including extending the suspension of alcoholic sales through May 31.

What’s Happening:

  • Tokyo Disney Resort has announced operating changes due to the extension of the state of emergency impacting nearby prefectures.
  • In late April, a state of emergency was announced for Tokyo which is close to Chiba, the location of Tokyo Disney Resort. As a result, Tokyo Disney Resort suspended alcoholic beverage sales through May 11, 2021.
  • Since then, the state of emergency has been extended to May 31 and has added Aichi Prefecture and Fukuoka Prefecture to the list which includes Tokyo, Osaka, Hyogo, and Kyoto.
  • Because of the extension, operating hours will be reduced, and the suspension of alcoholic sales has been extended through May 31.

Alcoholic Beverage Sales Suspension:

Updated Operating Hours for Tokyo Disney Resort:

  • Through May 17 – the park operating hours will be 9:00 am – 8:00 pm.
  • From May 18 – May 31 – the park operating hours will be 10:00 am – 7:00 pm.
  • These changes impact both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.

Early Entry Tickets Suspended:

  • Sales of Early Entry Tickets exclusively for Guests staying at a Disney hotel will be suspended for admissions from May 17 through 31.

Park Ticket Refunds due to Operating Changes:

  • Tickets below that were unused with fixed admission dates from July 1, 2020, to June 11, 2021.
    • 1-Day Passport
    • Fixed Date and Time Passport (from 10:30 a.m.)
    • Fixed Date and Time Passport (from 12 noon)
    • Fixed Date and Time Passport (from 11 a.m.)
    • Fixed Date and Time Passport (from 2 p.m.)
    • Sponsor Employee Passport
  • Tickets that were purchased, or changed to a different fixed admission date, on or after May 11, 2021, will not be valid for a refund. Guests are requested to use those tickets before the expiration date.

Park Admission Lottery Winners:

  • If you are unable to visit the Park on the date of Park admission received in the lottery during the period when priority measures are in place to prevent the spread of New Coronavirus (from April 20 through May 31, 2021), then your next lottery attempt can be made from the month of scheduled visit in May (for June or July Park admissions).
