Following a tradition put in place by Walt Disney himself in the early days of Disneyland, Disneyland Paris is looking for their next ambassador to represent the park during its 30th anniversary year.

What’s Happening:

  • Disneyland Paris is looking for the next Disneyland Paris Ambassador! Starting today, June 3rd, eligible and interested Cast Members can apply to become the new Ambassador who will represent Disneyland Paris starting 2022 for the park’s 30th Anniversary!
  • The Disneyland Resort Ambassador Program dates back to 1965 when Walt Disney selected the first Ambassador, Julie Reihm, and has carried over to every Disney Park in the world. Reihm is the role model that sets the bar for all Disney ambassadors to look up to since she was hand-picked by Walt Disney himself to be a personification of Disneyland’s world-famous spirit of friendliness and happiness.

  • Disney Ambassadors serve as the Resort’s “Emissaries of Goodwill,” media representatives and as official hosts to Resort guests. As official spokespeople, Ambassadors offer the outside community a personal relationship with the Resort. They foster Walt Disney’s original vision by hosting elected officials and business leaders at the parks and are active community partners through visits to hospitals, participation in VoluntEAR projects and frequent presentations in support of Disney’s community initiatives. They also serve a primary role in cast member recognition celebrations.
  • Typically, to qualify, Cast Members must go through a series of steps in the application process, including writing essays, be subjected to observation for weeks at a time, and have a very strong knowledge in the company’s history, including not just parks and movies, but their characters and songs, their merchandise, park policies, refund procedures, safety guidelines. Everything.
  • Cast Members can visit the HUB to learn more, and be sure to follow @dlpambassador on Instagram for updates as the search for the next Disneyland Paris Ambassador continues.
