What’s Happening:
- D23 has announced a virtual event to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Shanghai Disney Resort premiering on Wednesday, June 16 at 4:00 pm PT and available to watch through Friday, July 9 at 11:45 pm PT.
- The exclusive event, hosted by Leslie Iwerks, will feature Imagineers taking fans on a journey from the park’s origins and history, to behind-the-scenes stories.
- D23 Members will also get a sneak peek at the new Zootopia-themed land coming soon.
How to get Tickets:
- D23 Gold and General Members can click here to place their ticket order.
- Members who need to reserve a ticket with closed captioning can click here.
- D23 Gold Members – One (1) ticket is complimentary.
- D23 General Members – Tickets are $10 plus a $1.50 processing fee.
- Once registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email with viewing instructions along with a personal link and access code.

- “Hosted by Academy Award-nominated director Leslie Iwerks, we’ll go far back before the grand opening five years ago to explore the earliest history of the groundbreaking resort with a roundtable discussion featuring Wing Chao (Disney Legend and retired Imagineer), Doris Woodward (retired Imagineer and the Resort’s Senior Director and Producer), Howard Brown (General Manager & Site Portfolio Executive, Walt Disney Imagineering Asia), and Bob Weis (President – Creative & New Experience Development, Walt Disney Imagineering).
