Marvel Comics will launch the Darkhold Saga this September with Darkhold Alpha #1 by Steve Orlando and Cian Tormey, with a variant Scarlet Witch cover.

What’s Happening:
- The highly anticipated Marvel Comics Darkhold Saga begins this fall with the release Darkhold Alpha #1 on September 22nd.
- Written by Steve Orlando with art by Cian Tormey, the arc will see the return of the infamous Darkhold text, with Scarlet Witch as the only hero who can stop it.
- The Darkhold, aka “The Book of the Damned,” has been found by Doctor Doom and the elder god who wrote it, Chton, is back.
- Scarlet Witch can’t enter Chton’s dimension alone and will need the assistance of Iron Man, Wasp, Black Bolt, Blade, and Spider-Man, forcing them to confront their inner darkness in the process.
- The Darkhold Saga will unfold through a series of one-shots, the first of which hits comic stores on September 22nd.
- Both covers were designed by Gerg Smallwood, the standard Doctor Doom cover and a Scarlet Witch variant.
