- Chairman of Disney Parks Josh D’Amaro joined Bob Weis, President of Walt Disney Imagineering, and Jeff Vahle, President of Walt Disney World, for a look at the progress on Spaceship Earth.
- The gathering was shared by Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley on his Instagram account, with the executives taking a close look at the ongoing progress of the light installation project on Spaceship Earth.
- The lighting will transform the EPCOT icon into a “Beacon of Magic” for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Walt Disney World.
- Each light shines out and to the sides, synchronized together to create a dazzling spectacle for nighttime park goers.
- You can see a brief animated concept of what Spaceship Earth will look like when the work is completed in the video below, which also showcases nighttime anniversary overlays for Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom.
