SeaWorld San Diego Prepares for Howl-O-Scream with Preview of The Nightmare Experiment and Details for Monster Sale, and Employment Opportunities

Howl-O-Scream is coming to SeaWorld San Diego and to help guests get ready for end of the year fights, the park has shared a sneak peek at one of their Haunted Houses. Plus, order your tickets now and save big during the “Monster Sale” or audition to be part of the show!

What’s Happening:

  • SeaWorld San Diego is preparing for spine-chilling moments as the park gets ready to debut it’s first-ever ALL-NEW Howl-O-Scream!
  • In anticipation of San Diego’s newest nighttime attraction, SeaWorld has announced new employment opportunities, a “Monster Sale”, and offered a preview of The Nightmare Experiment haunted house. Take a look:

  • As guests enter they will feel like a subject of a secret, experimental project that has run amok! Inside looms the doctor and his staff, frantically seeking patients to conduct questioning research on. Don’t get too close or you may end up in the doctor’s examination room.
  • Howl-O-Scream will debut in San Diego on September 17th and run through October 31st.
  • The event will be offered on 24 select nights, joining the park’s annual family-friendly Halloween Spooktacular during the day.

Invitation to Scare: Apply to be part of the Scare Squad

(No Experience Necessary)

  • SeaWorld San Diego is looking for hundreds of enthusiastic performers who will add horror and thrills to the separately ticketed night event.
  • Now through September, the park is hosting one-hour Scare Squad auditions every:
    • Thursday between 5-8 pm PT
    • Saturday between 12-5 pm PT
  • Applicants will be asked to participate in improvisational and physicality exercises to demonstrate their scare tactics and showcase their best skills to startle, scare, and make guests scream in terror.
  • The Scare Squad will spread fear and fun and join the Fear Family by being transformed into characters by world class makeup artists and the park’s costume design team.
  • Interested applicants can secure their audition spot by applying online.
