NBA superstar and Disney fan Robin Lopez is heading to Orlando as a center position for the Orlando Magic.

What’s Happening:

  • This past Monday, free agency opened up for the NBA and the Orlando Magic added Robin Lopez to their roster.
  • Robin Lopez is a HUGE Disney fan, with his Instagram account featuring him dressed up as characters from Robin Hood, Thor, Star Wars, Aladdin, Mary Poppins and even The Ugly Dachshund.

  • His personal art collection includes an original piece by Disney Legend Mary Blair used as concept art in Alice in Wonderland.

  • He also owns a hand-signed copy of The Art of Walt Disney signed by WALT DISNEY!!!

  • He also collects vintage Disney movie posters.

  • His twin brother Brook is also a big Disney fan who plays for the Milwaukee Bucks.

  • And Robin Lopez leans into the fact that at 7-feet tall and with curly hair, he sometimes bears a resemblance to Sideshow Bob from The Simpsons.

  • Also, his dog is named Muppet. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

  • Even his Instagram handle, @GustoGummi88, is a Disney reference to a character from Adventures of the Gummi Bears.
