The list of Fab 50 Character Statues continues to grow by the day, and today is no different with the announcement of Pinocchio as the latest character to appear as part of the festivities of the World’s Most Magical Celebration !
What’s Happening:
- Chris Buck, a director at Walt Disney Animation Studios (Frozen, Frozen 2) has taken to Instagram to announce another of the characters we can expect to see as part of the Fab 50 Character Collection during the World’s Most Magical Celebration at Walt Disney World, starting October 1st.
- Today’s announcement reveals that Pinocchio will be among the characters to be found in the collection. According to Buck, Pinocchio is a masterpiece and one of the films that animated movies today are held against.
- The Pinocchio statue will be located at the Magic Kingdom, and as with all the others, we don’t know precisely where in the park it will be located.
- The rest of the statues a star-studded group, with reveals from Disney super-fan John Stamos (star of the Disney+ Original Series Big Shot) revealing Dumbo from the Dumbo ride vehicle he keeps in his living room, to Orlando native Michael James Scott (Genie in Aladdin on Broadway) revealing Abu from the New Amsterdam Theatre, to the incomparable Annie Potts joining us from home to reveal Woody and Bo Peep, the latter of whom being the Toy Story character to whom she’s proudly lent her voice.
