Disney has shared information with Guests about Magic Key, how to purchase, and the new Magic Key Terrace opening on August 25.

What’s Happening:

Purchasing a Magic Key

  • Starting August 25th, 2021 (no earlier than 10 a.m. PT), Guests can purchase their Magic Key and make a park reservation that same day.
  • Guests can purchase and manage their Magic Key through Disneyland.com and the Disneyland app, where you can check out the admission calendar, view, and book reservations.
  • Disneyland will not be selling Magic Key at the ticket booths at Disneyland Resort at this time.
  • Partially used or unexpired tickets are eligible to be upgraded to Magic Key through the Disneyland app.

Charter Magic Key Holders Offer

  • If you’re among the first Magic Key holders to purchase within the first 66 days (in honor of Disneyland’s 66th anniversary), you’ll receive a special welcome package that includes unique items like a premium branded pin, celebratory button, magnet, and more.
  • Magic Key Holders who enter Disneyland park will also get access to a limited-time experience at Starcade in Tomorrowland beginning on September 1 through October 30, which includes charging stations, photo opportunities, and more.

Magic Key Reservations

  • Magic Key Holders will have a specific number of theme park reservations they can hold at a time within a 90-day booking window depending on the key purchased.
  • Once you enter the park on one of the booked days, or cancel a reservation, you can then make another within the 90-day window.
  • Once you have a Magic Key, reservations can be made on the reservations page on Disneyland.com or the Disneyland app, where you’ll select the date you wish to visit. You can make reservations for one or both parks depending on the availability for the date.
  • Park hopping is allowed starting at 1:00 pm PT that day (subject to capacity) and if you arrive after 1:00 pm PT, you can start at either park.
  • You’ll only need to make a reservation for one park if you plan to visit both on the same day, and it will only count as one reservation.

Magic Key Terrace – Opening August 25

  • The Magic Key Terrace, a special Magic Key holder lounge offering nostalgia in a themed atmosphere, will be located near Golden Vine Winery at Disney California Adventure, exclusively for Magic Key holders and their friends/family.
  • Guests wanting to visit can join the walk-up list on the Disneyland app starting August 25, or by checking in at the location for availability.
  • Starting September 2, the Magic Key Terrace will begin taking advance dining reservations.

  • Dream Key – $1,399 ($102 a month after $179 down payment for California Residents)
