Disney Cruise Line Returns to California October 1, Panama Canal November 5

Disney Cruise Line has announced that sailings will resume in California starting October 1, 2021, with Panama Canal Sailings starting November 5, 2021.

What’s Happening:

  • Disney Cruise Line is returning to California with sailings on the Disney Wonder starting October 1, 2021, and Panama Canal Sailings starting on November 5, 2021.
  • Sailings from Galveston, Texas will be announced at a later date.
  • For Panama Canal Sailings, all Guests must be fully vaccinated regardless of age, so those who are 11 years of age and younger will be unable to sail.

Sailing Vaccination and Testing Requirements:

  • All Guests 12 years and older must be fully vaccinated for sailings.
  • Guests 11 years of age and younger are not required at this time to be vaccinated, but must provide proof of a negative COID-19 PCR test taken 3 days and 24 hours prior to sailing.
  • All Guests regardless of age and vaccination status must take a Disney Cruise Line-paid PCR COVID-19 test administered by Inspire Diagnostics at the terminal before boarding.
  • If going on back-to-back sailings, all Guests regardless of age and vaccination status must take a PCR COVID-19 test administered by Inspire Diagnostics at the terminal after debarking the ship from their first cruise and before re-boarding for their second cruise.
  • For Panama Canal sailings, please note that all Guests, regardless of age, must be fully vaccinated. Guests 11 years of age and younger will be unable to sail. All Guests must undergo a Disney Cruise Line-paid PCR COVID-19 test administered by Inspire Diagnostics at the terminal before boarding.

Disembarking the Ship at Port of Call Restrictions

  • Fully vaccinated Guests who wish to disembark the ship while in a port of call can do so without the need to purchase a Disney Cruise Line Port Adventure.
  • Guests who are vaccinated and wish to disembark the ship with unvaccinated children will need to purchase a Disney Cruise Line Port Adventure.

Cruise Itineraries:

  • 4-night California cruises will call on Cabo San Lucas with two sea days.
  • 3-night California cruises will call on Ensenada withone sea day.
  • 14-night Panama Canal cruises will have an additional day at sea instead of a stop at Grand Cayman.

Cruise Modifications for 7-night cruises:

  • 7-night cruises have been modified to a 4-night cruise on Oct. 1 followed by a 3-night cruise on Oct. 5.
  • Guests who remain on the new sailings will receive a $400 non-refundable onboard credit.
  • The voyage fare and vacation protection plan will be adjusted and a 25% future cruise discount will be awarded after sailing for a cruise on or before Sept. 30, 2022.

Cruise Modifications for 5-night cruises:

  • 5-night cruises have been modified to a 4-night cruise, impacting Oct. 22 and Oct. 31 sailings.
  • Guests who remain on the new sailing will receive a $200 non-refundable onboard credit.
  • The voyage fare and vacation protection plan will be adjusted and a 25% future cruise discount will be awarded after sailing for a cruise on or before Sept. 30, 2022.

Panama Canal Updates

  • Guests with reservations will need to remove any children 11 years of age and younger from the reservation party.
  • Those who remain on the same sailing will receive a 25% future cruise discount.
  • Those who move their sailing will have the voyage fare adjusted to the new sailing and a 25% future cruise discount available for future use. The vacation protection plan will also be adjusted to the new sailing.
  • Those who cancel will receive a full refund and a 25% future cruise discount.
