Marvel Studios (and The Walt Disney Company in general) are certainly no strangers to product integration and brand partnerships. Now, the studio has announced a pact with Lexus to not only promote their upcoming film Eternals but also the automaker’s new IS 500.

What’s Happening:

  • This morning, Lexus and Marvel announced a partnership for the upcoming film Eternals.
  • As part of the collaboration, a new Marvel-themed ad for the car company’s IS 500 sports sedan debuted.
  • The new spot stars Kumail Nanjiani (in character as Kingo) and was directed by MCU alums Joe and Anthony Russo.
  • Beyond the 30-second version of the ad, there’s also an extended cut:

  • Meanwhile, the Lexus LS 500 and the NX luxury crossover will appear in the film.
  • More about both the car and Eternals can be found on Lexus’s site.
  • Marvel’s Eternals rides into theatres on November 5th.

About Eternals:

  • Marvel Studios’ Eternals welcomes a new team of Super Heroes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The epic story, starting at the beginning of civilization and spanning thousands of years, features a group of immortal heroes forced out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s oldest enemy, The Deviants.
  • The movie stars Richard Madden, Gemma Chan, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, Don Lee, Barry Keoghan, Angelina Jolie, Kit Harington, and more.
  • Eternals is directed by Academy Award winner Chloé Zhao.

What They’re Saying:

  • Vinay Shahani, Lexus vice president of marketing: "There's a natural synergy between Marvel Studios and Lexus. We both go all-in to deliver amazing experiences. We're incredibly excited to team up with Marvel Studios' 'Eternals' to showcase our very own superhero, the first-ever V8 IS 500, which ushers in a new Lexus F SPORT Performance Line."
  • Mindy Hamilton, SVP, Global Partnership Marketing at Marvel Studios: “We're thrilled to partner with Lexus to give viewers an early look at one of our new heroes, Kumail Nanjiani's Kingo, in action. Lexus' creative campaign is appropriately epic, delivering the same combination of action, spectacle and humor our fans will see in the film.”
