What's Happening:

  • During a special premiere event (not the one held at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event but rather at the historic El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood), there was a special Q&A held on stage celebrating the new documentary, Disney Worldbuilders.
  • There, acclaimed filmmaker and creator of the new documentary, Leslie Iwerks, was joined by the Senior Artisans Editor at Variety, Jazz Tangcay.
  • You can check out the full panel in our video below.

  • In the new documentary, Disney Worldbuilders, we see and hear from some of Disney’s most influential storytellers as they reflect on the memories, moments and creative breakthroughs that shaped their work, tracing how those stories come to life at Disney’s theme parks around the globe. Their conversations reveal a creative practice that moves in every direction - where a story can inspire a place, and a place can then inspire the next story. It's a way of creating that dates back to Walt himself - a creative tradition that continues to shape every new story Disney tells.
  • You can find out what we thought of the new documentary in our Disney Worldbuilders review.
  • Disney Worldbuilders is now available to stream on Disney+.
