Photos: Art Restored at The American Adventure as EPCOT Closes Temporary Exhibit

Longtime EPCOT fans may have noticed something missing on recent visits to The American Adventure at the park - a series of art pieces and quotes that have long been featured in a portion of the rotunda before heading into the classic Audio-Animatronics presentation.

Now, after several years, much of that art has been restored, showcasing moments that allude to other portions of the show you might see inside, or channeling some classic Americana.

The art and quotes were removed in recent years as "Portraits of Courage" - an exhibit featuring paintings by former U.S. President George W. Bush was featured in the space. The exhibit was featured in the space in 2024, and had been extended numerous times, eventually departing the World Showcase pavilion in July of 2026.

The exhibit featured more than 60 full-color portraits painted by President Bush of service members and veterans who have served the nation with honor since 9/11, and whom the President has come to know personally since leaving office. Each painting was accompanied by the inspiring story of the veteran depicted, written by the President.
