Disneyland Resort Update: DCA Food & Wine Festival Begins, Tram Route Construction, and More

Welcome to another Disneyland Resort update. This week we are looking at current happenings and changes at the Disneyland Resort, including construction updates at Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and Downtown Disney as well as the Food & Wine Festival taking place at Disney California Adventure. Enjoy!

First, improvements and upgrades are happening at the Mickey and Friends Parking structure and former Pinocchio lot. While space is being cleared for the new parking garage, the tram to Downtown Disney is on a new route. As a result, security checkpoints have moved under the current parking structure during the construction.

Disneyland’s Main Street Trolley track and cobblestone road are continuing their refurbishment, with some pieces of the track being unveiled (for more photos, check out our previous update). The Main Street Trolley is scheduled to reopen later this Spring.

With the opened set for 2019, construction for Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is well underway and we’re excited to see the progress.

Shoppers needn’t worry, World of Disney is still open during construction! Signs now inform guests about the changes coming and set the reopening for Fall 2018.

Over at Disney California Adventure, the Food & Wine Festival is now in full swing. Stop by any (or all!) of the over one dozen Marketplaces and purchase samples of tasty treats and delicious beverages being offered this year.

Pixar Pier is also coming along nicely. Are you ready for an INCREDIBLE summer?

Thanks for joining us for this Disneyland Resort Parks update! Stay tuned for more exciting news from the Happiest Place on Earth!
