TUDUM is an onomatopoeia for the sound you hear before every Netflix Original and on September 25th, it also became the name of a virtual global fan event celebrating over 70 projects that will be streaming now through 2022. Pronounced “Tuh-doom,” the core of TUDUM was a three-hour webcast featuring the stars and creators of new and returning shows and movies, but there was also nearly two hours worth of preshow content focusing on anime projects from Japan and content from Korea and India. Movies

The Harder They Fall – In Theaters October 22nd, Streaming November 3rd, 2021

Actors Jonathan Majors and Idris Elba gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of this Black Western, featuring director Jeymes Samuel revealing his childhood love of Westerns and his discovery that there were Black heroes in the old west, creating a project that combines these real characters. He also expressed his excitement for the music in the film, with producer Jay-Z heavily involved in the project. During another segment of the full presentation about Netflix action films, Regina King and Zazie Beetz discussed the fight sequences in the film.

Army of Thieves – Streaming October 29th

The eagerly anticipated prequel to Army of the Dead is directed by Matthias Schweighöfer, who also stars as Ludwig Dieter. The trailer was released during TUDUM, which was accompanied by a substantial chat with members of the cast (Nathalie Emmanuel as Gwendoline, Ruby O. Fee as Korina, Stuart Martin as Brad Cage, Guz Khan as Rolph) and producers Wesley Coller, plus Zack and Deborah Snyder. One of the cool reveals is that Hans Zimmer requested to do the score because of his German heritage.

Red Notice – Streaming November 12th, 2021

Dwayne Johnson introduced the first clip from this action-adventure film, co-starring Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds. “The FBI's top profiler, the world’s most wanted art thief, and the greatest conman the world has never seen,” reads the official description. Check out this awesome advance scene.

Bruised – Streaming November 24th, 2021

Oscar-winner Halle Berry stars and directs this film about a disgraced MMA fighter seeking redemption in the cage. During the full TUDUM presentation, fans got to see behind-the-scenes footage of the upcoming drama.

Don’t Look Up – Streaming December 24th

Director Adam McKay and Jennifer Lawrence introduced a new clip from the film that also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Rob Morgan, and Jonah Hill about a comet on a deadly collision course with Earth.

A Través De Mi Ventana (Through My Window) – Streaming February 4th, 2022

Author Ariana Godoy introduced the cast of the feature film adaptation of her novel, which includes Julio Peña as Ares, Clara Galle as Raquel, Eric Masip as Artemis, Guillermo Lasheras as Yoshi, Natalia Azahara as Daniela, Hugo Arubes as Apolo, and Emilia Lazo as Claudia. Black Crab – Streaming in 2022

The eagerly anticipated follow-up to The Old Guard is coming next year and Charlize Theron joined a panel of actresses to talk about the physicality of her role as Andy. No plot details were shared, but we got to see some rehearsal footage from a fight sequence.

Extraction 2 – Streaming in 2022

A squeal to the 2020 blockbuster starring Chris Hemsworth was announced, revealing that Tyler Rake lives. Hemsworth is reuniting with the Russo brothers and Sam Hargrave on the sequel, which is expected to start streaming next year. Kevin Hart briefly plugged his new limited series, co-created with Eric Newman and co-starring Wesley Snipes. Netflix hasn’t released a trailer or clip yet, but this is the series description: “During a tour stop in his hometown of Philadelphia, one of the world's most famous comedians is forced to answer the question of how far he'll go to protect what he has.” During the full presentation, two still images were shown.

Cobra Kai – Season 4 Streaming December 31st, 2021

Tanner Buchanan, Xolo Maridueña, Jacob Bertrand, Gianna Decenzo, Mary Mouser and Peyton List made a sketch where they had put the teaser trailer on a VHS tape and jumped through hoops to get it to TUDUM, with it getting destroyed in the process. Nicola Coughlan, Jonathan Bailey, Simone Ashley and Charithra Chandran sat down to answer a few questions about the Emmy-winning series before offering a first look at the upcoming sophomore season.

Stranger Things – Season 4 Streaming in 2022

The Duffer Brothers joined stars Gaten Matarazzo and Joe Keery to release the third teaser for the upcoming 4th season, which introduces viewers to Grill House. Stars Kedar Williams-Stirling and Ncuti Gatwa stopped by TUDUM to announce that the series has been renewed for a 4th season. Season 3 was recently launched on September 17th and Kedar shared that his favorite moment from this past season was getting to direct an episode.

The Sandman – Streaming in 2022

Author Neil Gaiman shared his excitement for the television adaptation of his graphic novels, showcasing production artwork and a few looks at the set. Cast members Tom Sturridge (Dream/The Sandman) and Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Death of the Endless) helped introduce the first clip. Floor is Lava – Season 2 Streaming in 2022

Host Rutledge Wood revealed a new level coming in the second season, titled “The Haunted Attic,” while having stars of other Netflix shows play through the course. Another new twist in season 2 is that the top 2 teams from each episode will face off in a final level, which will involve a giant volcano.

Super Crooks (スーパー・クルックス) – Streaming November 25th, 2021

Based on comics by Mark Miller, the trailer was released alongside a conversation between the author and director Motonobu Hori. Miller talked about his work for Marvel and the MCU and about selling his company to Netflix, with Jupiter’s Legacy released earlier this year. The anime series is set in Japan and the presentation also revealed the voice of Johnny, Tsuda Kenjiro. In the 13-episode series, the comics are expanded, with only the final 3 episodes following the plot of Miller’s books.

Aggretsuko (アグレッシブ烈子) – Season 4 Streaming December 2021

A fur character of Retsuko helped introduce the new poster for the upcoming 4th season. At the end of the anime presentation, she turned into her angry red panda form, Aggretsuko.

It included original Japanese voice actress, Kotono Mitsuishi, who originated the role in 1992 in the classic anime, and a few other voice actors who have been the only localized voice of Sailor Moon in their regions, Sabine Bohlmann from Germany and Patricia Acevedo from Mexico. Other artists included Stephanie Sheh (English), Agatha Paulita (Portuguese), Adelaida Lopez (Spanish – Spain), and Lucrezia Marricchi (Italian).
